“Fiddlehead Brewing Company is a brewer owned business. Crafting approachable, multidimensional beers, while growing responsibly with a focus on the arts and positively impacting those in our communities – one beer at a time.”
On New Year’s Eve 2011, Matt Matty O Cohen took his 15+ years of industry knowledge and broke ground on a 15 barrel brewery near the shores of Lake Champlain in Shelburne, VT. The 3,000 square foot brewery and tasting room were the incubator for Fiddlehead IPA, now the best-selling craft beer in the state of Vermont.
This growth was built on offering a consistent, balanced IPA that appealed to craft beer enthusiasts and beer laymen alike. Six years later, Fiddlehead Brewing Company erected a larger brewery to ensure that fresh beer could hit coolers in Massachusetts and Eastern New York.
Thanks to buzz around sought after Double IPAs: Second Fiddle and Mastermind (which raises money for children’s charities) Fiddlehead continued to grow in popularity increasing its footprint into other Northeastern states. In 2021, Fiddlehead Brewing Company expanded again with the purchase of a 60 barrel brewhouse, increased fermentation space and a state-of-the-art canning line.
