Fiddlehead Brewing Company owners, Matt and Amy Cohen, started Team Mastermind in 2015 as part of their desire to be business owners engaged in their community. Fiddlehead Brewing Company’s Mastermind Double IPA was created with this goal in mind. Twenty-five percent of all sales of Mastermind are donated to charity.
Initially, Team Mastermind was focused on raising money for the University of Vermont Children’s Hospital located in Burlington, Vermont. The Children’s Hospital was an obvious first choice for the Cohen’s first formal corporate philanthropic efforts. Born in 2006, Matt and Amy’s son Noah has received extensive medical care, much of it provided by UVM Children’s Hospital. The Cohens frequently share that they could not live in or operate a business in their community without access to a first-class children’s hospital in their backyard. As a result, they believe passionately in the importance of access to high quality pediatric care, early intervention, and extended support services for children and their families.
As Fiddlehead’s distribution territory expands, we want to spread the impact of Team Mastermind and assure that Mastermind is not only benefiting those in the community where we live and work but also benefiting those in the communities directly where Fiddlehead is sold. Funds are now directed to the Team Mastermind Fund, which provides charitable grants to organizations that support pediatric health and broad community wellness.
